Summary/Objective

Reporting to the Executive Director (CEO), the Operations Director is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive array of services and programs. This position will serve as a member of the Management Team along with the CEO. This position’s primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization’s programmatic functions.

Streamline our processes and workflows from end to end & then automate as much as possible. From the marketing of the product to every phase thereafter including, sales, supply chain product development, design, sourcing, compliance and guaranteed OTD.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and integrate staffing programs designed to attract the highest caliber of talent while satisfying the needs of our clients
  2. Collaborate with our CEO on five and ten-year plans for corporate growth and evolution
  3. Assist the CFO with financial projections and analyses of existing programs and policies
  4. Manage service employees and train them in the latest leadership and technical skills so they can better serve our clients
  5. Helm budgeting and resource allocation efforts alongside the other C-level executives and the senior management team
  6. Ensure all program initiatives align with the company’s core values and culture
  7. Provide leadership to those under your command so that they might take more initiative in their roles

Essential Functions

The following functions are required:

  1. Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company’s business plan and overall strategic vision.
  2. Assist executive team members in creating, growing and building a world class, industry leading organization.
  3. Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the CFO, CEO and other key executive team members.
  4. Partner with the CFO to achieve favorable financial results with respect to sales, profitability, cash flow, mergers and acquisitions, systems, reporting and controls.
  5. Set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance and profitability.
  6. Create effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes.
  7. Provide accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the company.
  8. Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  9. Works with other c-level executives on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation programs.
  10. Work closely with senior management team to create, implement and roll out plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems and company policies all designed to foster growth, profitably and efficiencies within the company.
  11. Motivate and encourage employees at all levels as one of the key leaders in the company including but not limited to professional staff, management level employees and executive leadership team members.
  12. Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, banks, investors and all other professional business relationships.
  13. Work with the CEO and CFO in the capital raise process, participate in the company’s road shows.  Meet, interact and present information effectively to potential investors and private equity firms.
  14. Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibility

The Director of Indian Operations is responsible for the entire team that is based in India.  He sometimes directs at the behest of the V.P. for Asian Operations and routinely collaborates with our HQ in Miami, FL, USA.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, salaried position. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. however, this position is responsible for communicating with our worldwide team and as such, frequently must perform duties outside traditional office hours, including daily meetings.

Travel

Might have to visit the local (Indian) factories for smooth flow of production work. Might have to visit international locations to meet with specific VDR managers and/or factories.

Required Education and Experience

  1.  MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management
  2.  Minimum of 12-15 years’ experience in domain of Supply Chain

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Diploma/ Degree in Engineering
  2. Bachelor’s in Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic & Communication / Industrial Engineering
  3. Master’s in Business Administration (Supply Chain Management)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Six Sigma Black Belt
